The air cap is an important part of the AirCoat spray process.
With the AirCoat process (airless + air), the material is pressed through the nozzle using a spraying device at relatively low pressure (3 – 12 MPa) and supported in the atomization process by compressed air (0.05 – 0.25 MPa).
This is made possible by the central air supply located directly on the nozzle bore, which is routed via the air cap and surrounds the spray medium like a jacket.
There are three different air caps to choose from for optimal adjustment to the material. The blue AirCoat air cap is ideal for water-dilutable materials (water-based paint).
