Why is the Graco Quickshot so popular?
Most of you in the painting and decorating industry may know that when the Graco Ultra Quickshot came out, almost everyone wanted one. But why is it so popular?
In May 2023, Graco released the Ultra Quickshot, with breakthrough technology designed to deliver high quality results faster than your regular airless unit. It’s the next model in the Graco ultra range following the extremely popular Graco Ultra and Ultramax handhelds.
So lets go into the main features of the Quickshot…
Instant Response Electric Powered Gun

The gun is the main feature everybody loves about the Quickshot. The gun is very similar to the popular Graco Contractor PC Compact Gun in term of its size, its very light and manoeuvrable. It has a 1.8m flexible hose attached for full reach and easy hose management. The gun and hose hold up to 30ml of material. The gun also has an electronic trigger which feels like you’re just pressing an electrical button. When the trigger is released, it shuts off the flow of material in the blink of an eye. Due to the electronic trigger, it massively reduces the amount of strain a regular trigger can cause. It has a variable flow that can easily be adjusted on the back of the gun which controls anywhere from 100 PSI to 2000 PSI.
The 1L Pour N Go cup – Â

It’s a gravity fed cup so material will naturally flow down into the pump, which means less issues with the pump priming. Its easily removable with a simple clip on the side that releases it. There is a small plug on top of the cup which needs to be opened during use, this is because keeping it will create a vacuum in the cup and the material wont flow down properly.  You may notice when you receive your Ultra Quickshot that there is some blue liquid at the bottom of the cup – don’t worry, it’s just Graco Pump Armour which Graco use as a storage lubricant when its being shipped and whilst its sitting waiting to be used. Before using the Quickshot just flush out the pump armour with water based cleaner if you are using water-based paint, or solvent cleaner if you are using solvent based paint. Wait did we even mention that? Well now you know, the Graco Quickshot can spray most water and solvent based materials!
2 DeWalt Batteries & Charger –

Graco supply 2 DeWalt batteries (& battery charger) which you can spray up to I Gallon US (3.8L UK) per battery. So you can have one battery on charge whilst using the other, then when it runs out just swap them over.
Accessories –
It has hands free portability and comes with a belt and holster so you can attach it to your waist. This makes it easier to move around while on the job and you can easily refill right on your hip.
It also comes with 2 FFLP tips (514 & 410) and a 60 & 100 mesh inlet filters. All included in a tool bag that also comes with the Quickshot to make it easier to pack away and use another day.
The Graco Quickshot is designed for small jobs only and cannot be used continuously. Small jobs being: doors, cabinets, fence panels, garage doors, sheds, decking, skirting boards and even feature walls. The Quickshot is not designed to do complete houses.
